There are plenty of hotels in Rome with “Trevi” in their name, but most of these are either a block or two from the fountain itself. There are precious few that actually look onto the fountain itself.
This is because the fountain itself makes up one entire wall of a relatively small piazza, and the number of buildings that overlook it is necessarily very restricted.
Some others offer a view that does exist in theory, but frankly you could only achieve with a periscope.
However there are three hotels that do have a good view of the Trevi Fountain.
- We lead with our number one choice, Hotel Fontana. This is a gorgeous boutique hotel in a traditional palazzo, slap bang front and center of the entire fountain – see the photo above. Imagine having breakfast staring at that view! Check availability >
- Second choice for views of the Trevi Fountain is the Trevi Ab Aeterno situated on the fountains left side. It offers a diagonal aspect that offers a stunning view of the fountain and the rocks and pool in front. Check availability >
- Finally, there is the Relais Fontana di Trevi. This boutique hotel is more to the right of the fountain, but nevertheless delivers lovely views of the entire piazza, fountain included, from its terrace. Check availability >
Finally, a note of caution: the piazza is usually extremely crowded during daylight hours. When leaving your hotel, do therefore be aware of your surroundings – in particular take precautions against sneak thieves.
