Rome transport strike planned for Monday, February 3, 2020

Rome, 28th January 2020

Transport unions in Rome have announced that they are planning a 24-hour strike for February 3rd.

This will likely affect all buses, metro, trams, and light rail including the Roma-Lido line, Roma-Viterbo, and Roma-Centocelle lines.

Because the planned strike is a 24-hour action, this will also affect night buses from midnight on the 2nd February until midnight on the 3rd.

By standard agreement with the city, transport will run during commuting times, from 5.30 am – 8 am and again from 5 pm to 8 pm.

The strike will likely strain taxi services, so if you are on vacation in Rome, ensure you have made sufficient transport plans for that day.

Avoid problems with Rome’s public transport.
